Birds

They are made from pieces of cloth. I like collecting clothes. I have been got some them while traveling.
One is old cloth from my friends,some of them from childhood and I sew them together.
Each of the bird are different type, but they are going to fly same direction.
It is one of my artwork.

私は布を集めることが好きで、旅先で布を買います。友達からもらった布、祖父の着ていた麻のシャツの生地とどこかの国の布を縫い合わせて作ります。ひとつづつ違う鳥が同じメッセージをもって飛べるように作っています。

あっという間に一年が過ぎようとしています。、今日はクリスマスイブ。
楽しいクリスマスになりますように。

Advent calendar

アドベントカレンダーをはぎれの布で息子と作りました。初めてのミシンと刺繍糸でのステッチは苦戦していましたが、曜日はないにしても24日のイブまでの24個のポケットを作りながら話をしたことが私の今年の思い出になりそうです。
いくつかの布は亡くなった祖父が庭仕事や、家族恒例のお餅つきに必ず着ていた茶色の麻のシャツ。穴が沢山開いてしまったのでしょう。そのたびに修理をしていたのですがその共布やステッチがとても素敵でそのまま活かしてポケットに。
このポケットには12月になったらお菓子を入れたりする予定です。

My son and I made 24pockets for advent calendar with scrap of cloths. Few of cloths were my grandfather's hemp shirt.He used to wear it with his favorite thing which was gardening. After he past away,I got it for my memory.And finally we made this advent calendar as our memory of our Grandpa.
Actually it is not X'mas color but We will always become happy every time to use it!

Picasso at the MOMA

Picassoの彫刻の展覧会をみにMOMAにいってきました。約140点あまりの作品の数、エネルギー、自由な形にこんなに時代を経ても古さを感じないことや、あたたかい対象物への視線も感じ、とてもシンプルでゆるぎないエネルギーも感じました。

I went to MOMA in NY to see exhibition of Picasso. I was very impressed!!
There were about 140 sculptures.
I prefered his sculpture to his painting. there were more simple message and I felt his a tender glance to objects ,his joy and his passion.

Vischer Ferry

Fall color

雪のないスキー場に行くのははじめてだ。行く途中の秋空は本当に澄んでいた。iphoneで撮っても
だめなのだけど（それでも撮ってみる）少し何か家に持ち帰るような気持なのかもしれない。

雪のない斜面は急斜面に思えたけれど、また白く雪で覆う季節があと少しでやってきそうな風だった。

It was first time to go a skiing ground before snow.The color of sky was amazing on the way to there. I took those pictures. It might be that I wanted to bring something to home.A sｌoop of skiing area without snow looked steeper than snow season. A cold wind was blowing in there but

the air is very clean and beautiful.

Halloween

It is coming this season,Halloween!

Leaf were changed to yellow and red....so nice Autumn color make me happy!

Business card 名刺つくり

友達の名刺をつくってみた。愛犬と彼女のチェロのふたつをいれて。いつも音色を聴いている様子を感じながら、単純な構図ながら描くとまた、次となって。出来上がった絵をとても喜んでくれたのでホッとしました。
そしてなかなか楽しいなと。私も自分のをつくってみよう。
It is my friend's business card. There is only Cello and her lovely dog. I tried to draw them more simple and more softly for making a cello's sound and his mood.

Andy Warhol

It is Williams college's museum exhibition. I didn't know that Warhol had made children picture　books.

アンディウォーホールの作品をみにマサチューセッツのウイリアムズ　カレッジに線と描かれているものたちのかわいらしさにシルクスクリーンのシリーズよりも好きになりました。線がとにかく活き活きしていて、今みてもとても新しいものを感じて・・・

Birds

I am making birds with quilts which are scrap of cloths.
I want to hanging over100 pieces Eco birds on the tree.
Maybe they will start speak something!!

はぎれを使って鳥をつくる。１００羽いたら何か話だすなあとおもいながらそのときまでこつこつ。

Easter day

There are still snow in my place,but I feel Spring has come.
I made card of Easter.

イースターのカードを作った。クリスマスと違って、イースターの日付は毎年変わり、「春分の日の後の最初の満月から数えて最初の日曜日」と定められていて今年2015年は4月5日。
ウサギ、たまごは生命、豊穣の象徴としてお菓子からカードに登場。最近は大事な欧米のお祝いごと、なじみにないものでも描くこと感じることができるなあと思う。
